About the project

Best Shot was the first major collaboration between Th3rdstream founders Roahn Hylton and Jacob Yoffee. After inspiring initial conversations with series director Michael John Warren, Jacob and Roahn began work in a “camp” — a marathon multi-day writing session common in the songwriting world. They spent four days recording and producing over 40 full-fledged songs that became the backbone of the original score. Many more collaborations and recording sessions followed as the series and score took shape. Best Shot was ultimately an example of collaboration at its finest — between new partners Jacob and Roahn, but also between composers and director. The original soundtrack features a curated selection of 20 tracks from the series. Featuring performances by Mereba, Gary Thomas, Russell Kirk, Cam Archer, Nabeyin Panford, Oh Gosh Leotus and many more, it was released by Water Tower Records in 2017.
